The Internet usage is growing so rapidly who would've thought that close to 2 billion of the earth's population would have access to the Internet in 2011? How about by the year 2015? Will it be 3 or may be even 4 billion people, accessing the Internet, globally?
A SAN DIEGO PLUMBER: Sewer Piping to Plastic Piping (abs)
The lifetime of abs is similar to cast-iron, I would say depending on installation (not installed on rock(s), but sand or rather on dirt), 40-50 + years is the minimum life expectancy(and hopefully also that we don't get a major earthquake like the one in Japan,9.0 maybe we should say a little prayer that it doesn't occur in S.D. California) Actually I have on occasion removed sewer piping (cast iron piping) 70-80 years old which was still some what usable.
A San Diego Plumber always tries to check grade (the pitch or the fall or called the drop) with a torpedo level Code says 1/4" of an inch per foot for 3" abs piping, and 1/8" of an inch for 4" inch abs piping. Which I always try to use the 1/4" of inch grade or drop per foot. (And a San Diego Plumber also Recommends to check your local Building Requirements).
On occasion if your not able to use the 1/4" drop, the most important thing to remember is to always have a drop,(a grade, a fall) using street fittings or using a santee on its back as a vent only if that is the only way that it can be done, depending on the situation or a Wye and a 45 for the toilet (of course that being because the toilet is the one with the biggest fittings and so which is your biggest drop for pulling a measurement, or for laying out for a rough-in measurement for a new construction plumbing project). A San Diego Plumber always recommends to call a professional to do the work.
