AS usual we'll start off with a story, Some years ago The Philadelphia Evening Bulletin was being maligned by dangerous rumors. Advertisers were told the newspaper was no longer attractive to readers because it carried too much advertising and little news.
So the newspaper took immediate action, they clipped there regular edition reading matter, classified it and published it as a book. The book was called One Day. It contained 307 pages of News and Information which was all from one day of publishing material from their newspaper.
The printing of that Book Dramatized the fact of the newspapers Enormous Daily amount of news and information. Thus this demonstrated the vast amount of information published daily, rather than had they just published a bunch of figures and FACTS OF THEIR DAILY NEWS PUBLICATION.
SAN DIEGO PLUMBER MENTIONS WINDOW DISPLAYS, A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS!
Experts in window display know the power of dramatization. FOR EXAMPLE, the manufactures of a new RAT POISON gave dealers a NEW DISPLAY that included Two Rats. The Week The Rats Were Displayed Sales ZOOMED Five Times Their Normal Rate.
Television Commercials Do The Same They Dramatize Their Ideas or Their Products. They show how one detergent gets greasy material off while the other doesn't. You'll see a Car manufacture display his vehicle as the best in Safety and comfort, etc...
A salesman was given only Ten Minutes to Make His Presentation so the Salesman placed labels on all the his competitors creams, mentioning the Results of the Trade Investigation. Which he thus placed on the Desk. The ten Minutes passed Twenty, Thirty minutes After one Hour He Was Still Talking With the Executive about his Product. (DRAMATIZE YOUR IDEAS).
