When Using Drano? What San Diego Plumber Recommends on clearing a drain.
I actually. Never recommend to use Drano. It's like throwing your money down the drain. Ha Ha.
Well, Ok. ONLY if the drain is running slow but even them most of the times it will only PROLONG the inevitable. Being that you have to call the plumber. And it can actually damage the washers, and connections on the plumbing (Drano has Harsh Chemicals).
Best Thing to do is snake the drain Kindly see my different ideas or strategies on clearing a drain.
Back to your question. I would say just water. (PLENTY of Soap and water) if the residue is in the sink and or around the drain, (Basket strainer, pop-up assembly etc..).
If you meant, maybe that it didn't unclog the drain and you have some standing in the sink. Make sure to use nitrile gloves, when and if the Chemicals need to be removed. Because these chemicals can actually. Burn your hands, if so just run a lot of water, over them.
And like I said this may sometimes work slightly. Because if food has built up in the drain a liquid is very unlikely to do much maybe in a bathroom sink or a bathtub? But there if the drain is old it should still be snaked (Use a Drain Machine) But even so there is pro and cons if the Harsh liquid doesn't work then to your stuck with a sink full of this liquid.
