Also a brief article on Locating Leaks on a Water Heater. And on How To fix, these leaks. Because they are not always so obvious given that I have found them to be sometimes less of a problem, than what I thought initially to be. And sometimes some Plumbers In San Diego may not mention to you that it's only a minor repair.
For Instance a leak can happen from the top of the water heater and trail down inside the heater and can maybe seem like it's leaking from the inside, when in reality the problem might just be the connections at the top of the water heater. So it's a good thing to check the connections that are at the top first.
Another Leak could be that the Pressure can cause it to pop the Temperature and Pressure Valve. When the pressure is to high a good thing to check is the water pressure with a simple pressure test gauge. which can simply be applied by turning the water test gauge or screwing it on to the hose bibb, while making sure no one using the water so it won't fluctuate. If the water is to high by that I MEAN OVER 80 LBS. THEN YOU PROBABLY SHOULD GET A NEW PRESSURE REGULATOR INSTALLED.
And another thing is the water set to high. Many things could cause it to leak. Of course other the most obvious which is corrosion of the heater which that can't be fixed. Check out my post and PDF on Plumbers San Diego, finding Water Leaks on a Heater.
