Carnegie talks about a story when he was walking his dog without a leash in the park.
(It was against the Law to walk your dog without a leash). So basically a policeman had reprimanded him the week before, and by coincidence that day he decided to walk the dog without a chain.
Well anyways so the story goes like this when he seen him the following week in the park walking his dog (The Policeman). He admitted to the policeman that he was in the wrong.... Since he had admitted this Quickly, Openly, and with Enthusiasm. The encounter with the Policeman Ended Graciously, because the policeman actually started to defend him, and just told him to go over the hill were he wouldn't see him. What would've likely happened Had He Started to Argue with the Policeman and Become Defensive??
