What are the causes of having no cold water pressure

My Response to the Question:

Since you didn’t mention the age of your water system, I would say if it’s an old system having galvanized water piping, it would be that the pipes need to be changed. To copper.

And if so, I would recommend Copper piping since the inception of copper creation. Products made of this material have lasted hundreds of years, if not longer.

Unfortunately, I am not saying that a water piping system is made of copper. It will last as long because of the water pressure, but my point is that it has been proven that metal or copper piping can last 50 to 70 years.

Depends on the installation. If the Copper piping is not outside and exposed to the elements.

How We Would Repair in The 1980s Low Water Pressure

But if the piping system is not old, there is a water system blockage.

In other words, the water lines are galvanized piping.

I remember when I was working on New homes or New construction plumbing.

Sometimes the lines would get clogged with dirt, and we would use an air-pressured tank (Bottle) and do it in reverse.

In other words, for instance, you take off the water supply line while the angle stop is turned off and then turn it on slowly and check to see if any water comes out.

Then go down the line to see if you can find the problem. Sometimes, it would be in the angle stops that would be clogged.

When the city opens the water lines to work on them, they can sometimes become clogged with dirt.

And keep checking. Or turn off the water and use the air bottle.

By disconnecting one of the angle stops. And using the air pressure to remove the debris. Etc…

It is always recommended for a professional to do this type of work.

Some Plumbing Companies, Install Water Plastic Piping

I installed plastic piping in homes when I worked for contractors in the 1980s. I Remember asking why they would install it. Their response was simple. It costs less than copper piping.

Although I have Always Installed and Preferred Copper piping. For Any Water Pressurized Water Lines. Even if it ends up costing me.

And they would have leaks often, although the plastic piping nowadays is an upgrade of that piping called Quest, and was mostly all removed after a couple of years in the 1990s and after.
