The likely reason would be that the water restrictor (Aerator) at the end of the spout or where the water comes out from the faucet is clogged with debris which is a common occurrence.
If you can, remove and clean and then replace the aerator.
Use Channel-lock pliers. Be sure to place a cloth or rag so as not to mar or scratch the end of the faucet. “most aerators” usually unscrew off.
The other obvious reason would be that the faucet is bad or clogged and needs to be snaked. HAHA. I was kidding; a little euphemism about the situation.
Suppose the aerator is unable to be removed and cleaned. Then I would say. You need another faucet.
But first, turn off the water, and check to see that the problem is not further back by checking if water comes out of the water supply line and or if the water stops.
It could be that some debris got into the faucet somehow.
Sometimes when people work on the water lines like the city. They might get dirt or some debris.
So if a small amount of water persists (leaking) from your faucet, disconnect the water supply lines and see that the problem is not in the water lines or in the angle stops. (Water Stops.)
I would recommend a New Moen or a Delta, Price Pfister faucet replacement since either can do the job. It’s always better to pay a little more.
Whereas if you get the inexpensive faucet. You will end up replacing the faucet in months, if not sooner.
